The 17th Broncocon was held jointly with the
4th Asia Pacific Congress on Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
This was in Jaipur between 19-Jan-2012 to 22-Jan-2012. The conference was
superbly organized by Dr. S.K.Sarkar and his team. Over 450 delegates
attended the conference, including 69 delegates from abroad. The
distinguished speakers included Dr. Udaya Prakash (USA), Dr. T. Fujisawa (
Chair APAB) and Dr. Gerard Silvestri
(President AABIP). Dr. Hiroaki Osada (Chair WABIP), Dr. Micheal
Simoff (USA), Dr. Henri Colt (USA) , Dr. Munnavvar (UK), and Dr. K. Yasufuku
(Japan ) were also guest speakers. Dr. Daya Upadhyay (USA) spoke on
Electromagnetic Navigation. A galaxy of other national speakers made the
scientific session a rewarding learning experience. The M. Santosham
oration was delivered by Dr. R. Narasimhan (Chennai) . Brain Storming Cultural programmes were also
organized.
